Verdict:Leave Dashlane if you want a visible free tier to test before you pay, or a password manager you can run without a subscription. When Dashlane's pricing page was checked, it listed no free plan and no price figure, only a 14-day trial for Password Management. Bitwarden is the first thing to test, since its free plan covers basic password management with sharing for one other user, and Premium is $1.65 a month billed at $19.80 a year. KeePassXC is the no-subscription choice, because it keeps an encrypted local file with no vendor account at all. Proton Pass suits anyone already on Proton, with a free plan of 2 vaults and unlimited devices. The trade-off is that the free options shift work to you: a local file means you handle backups, and free tiers cap what you can store or share. Check your device and vault count before you migrate, and export your data first.

Why people look for Dashlane alternatives

Dashlane's personal pricing page lists only Premium and Friends & Family, both quoted as a monthly rate billed annually, so no month-to-month option appears there. Friends & Family covers 10 members, and both plans list unlimited devices and passwords. The page shows no free plan. Its business tiers are also priced per user per month billed annually, with Credential Protection sold through sales, so every route to Dashlane means committing to a year up front.
