Verdict:Leave Keeper when you stop needing its business features, or when the per-user quote is more than a single user should pay. Keeper's free family plan covers up to five members with unlimited devices, and that is the one thing most people can use at no cost. Its business tiers show a user per month billed annually with no amount listed, so compare after a quote. For one person, Bitwarden's free plan covers basic password management and sharing with one other user, and its Premium plan is listed at $19.80 a year. For a file-based option with no vendor account, KeePassXC is free and GPLv3 on Windows, macOS and Linux, but there is no sync. Proton Pass gives two free vaults and sharing with two people, which suits a small group already on Proton. 1Password has no free plan; check its pricing page for individual prices. Dashlane offers a 14-day trial only, so it is a paid choice to test. The trade-off is simple: Keeper's free family plan is the strongest free offer for households, and the business tiers only win when you need admin controls. Stay if your family is in one plan. Leave when you are paying for seats you do not use.
