Verdict:Leave Typeform when its response cap or price per response stops fitting your volume. Its free plan has a limited monthly response count, and Basic is $28 a month billed yearly for 100 responses, which is steep for a form that collects many answers. Fillout is the cheapest per response among these: unlimited forms with 1,000 responses a month free, and Starter at $15 a month for 2,000 responses. Tally is the free builder to try next, with unlimited forms and submissions within fair usage, and Pro is $24 a month. You get a block-based editor instead of the one-question flow. Jotform sits in the middle, with 5 active forms and 100 submissions a month on Starter and Bronze at $34 a month billed annually. Formbricks suits teams that want a self-hosted survey tool, with an AGPL-3.0 core, a Hobby plan of 250 responses a month, and Pro at $74 a month. LimeSurvey is the most control. It is GPL-2.0 or later and free to self-host, but you run the server. Pick Tally if cost matters most and you can live without the typeform look. Pick Fillout for high response volume at a low price. Pick Formbricks or LimeSurvey if the data must stay on your server. The trade-off is look against price, since the one-question flow costs you per response on a paid plan.
