Verdict:Leave Google Forms when you need a form that feels like a product, not a spreadsheet input. Typeform's layout asks one question at a time, and its Basic plan costs $28 a month billed yearly for 100 responses, so it is a paid choice for small volumes. Fillout gives a more designed look and far more responses for less money: a free plan with unlimited forms and 1,000 responses a month, and Starter at $15 a month for 2,000. Jotform's Starter plan allows 5 active forms and 100 submissions a month with 100 MB of upload space, so it suits a short trial rather than ongoing collection. Bronze is $34 a month billed annually. Formbricks is the self-hosted route under AGPL-3.0, with a Hobby plan of 250 responses a month, and it is aimed at in-product and website surveys. LimeSurvey is the choice when you want control over survey data: GPL-2.0 or later, with a free Community Edition you run yourself. The cost of leaving is that Google Forms responses already land in Google Sheets for free, and that link breaks. Keep Forms for internal intake or quick polls. Move to Fillout or Formbricks when the form is customer-facing, or to LimeSurvey when the data must stay on your server.

Why people look for Google Forms alternatives

Google's help pages set firm structural limits: a form holds up to 300 pieces of content and 75 sections, and a form with a file upload question cannot be embedded in an email. Styling is limited to colors, images and fonts, and an unfinished response is kept as a draft for 30 days only when the respondent is signed in to a Google Account. The product page also says some add-ons are sold separately, and neither page publishes response caps or a plan comparison.

Typeform

Compared with Google Forms: Basic is $28 a month billed yearly for 100 responses, and the free plan has a limited monthly response count. You gain a one-question-at-a-time layout and lose the free, Sheets-linked default of Google Forms.

Jotform
