Verdict:Leave Bluehost when your site outgrows shared hosting, or when the renewal price matters more than the intro price. Bluehost's Starter shared plan is $3.99 a month on a 36-month term and renews at $9.99 a month, and no free plan is listed. SiteGround and Hostinger are the closest shared-hosting peers with no free tier: SiteGround's introductory StartUp price is $2.99 a month, and Hostinger's Premium is $2.49 a month on a 48-month term, paid $119.52 upfront. Cloudways gives you managed cloud servers on the provider you choose, starting at $11 a month, which suits a growing WordPress site better than shared hosting. Netlify and Cloudflare have free plans and suit static sites. Netlify's free plan gives 300 credits a month, and Cloudflare's free plan includes DNS, a CDN and universal SSL. Pick Hostinger or SiteGround if you want to stay on shared hosting and compare renewal rates first, Cloudways when traffic grows, and Netlify or Cloudflare when the site is static and no server code is needed. The trade-off is that static hosts cannot run PHP plugins or a WordPress admin, so a WordPress site must stay on one of the hosted options. Compare renewal prices on each host before you move, because intro rates on shared hosting rarely last.
