Verdict:Leave Adobe Sign when you only send a handful of agreements and the Acrobat bundle is the reason you pay. Adobe prices Acrobat Pro with signing at $23.99 a month per team license (up to 10 licenses) or $28.98 a month for an individual on an annual plan billed monthly, with standalone Acrobat Sign sold through sales. Documenso and DocuSeal are the open-source exits: both are AGPL, can be self-hosted, and have free cloud tiers of 5 documents a month and 10 emails a month respectively. OpenSign advertises unlimited free signing, so check its pricing page for paid plans. SignWell has a free plan of 3 documents a month and paid from $10, which is the easy answer for freelancers. Dropbox Sign at $10.05 a month billed yearly fits teams that live in Dropbox, and Zoho Sign at $10 per user a month billed annually fits Zoho shops. The trade-off is compliance and process: Adobe's audit trails, identity options and PDF editing are why large firms stay. For ordinary contracts with a clear audit trail the smaller tools are enough, but ask whether a customer or regulator requires a specific vendor before you switch.

Good fit if

Not ideal if

Adobe Acrobat Sign today: Paid from $23.99 per license/month, Acrobat Pro for teams (up to 10 licenses, annual plan) (Adobe Acrobat Sign pricing, checked 2026-10-23).

Why people look for Adobe Acrobat Sign alternatives

Adobe sells e-signing mostly inside Acrobat: Acrobat Pro for teams is $23.99 per license per month, billed monthly on an annual commitment, for up to 10 licenses. The individual Acrobat Pro with AI Assistant plan is $28.98 per month on the same kind of commitment, and cancelling after the 14-day free trial window costs half of the remaining annual commitment. Standalone Acrobat Sign, aimed at medium and large businesses, offers unlimited seats but the page gives no price for it.
