Verdict:Leave Slido if the pricing page offers no number you can plan around or the free tier no longer fits your meetings. Slido's pricing page lists categories such as one-time, annual and education plans, but no figures, so you have to ask or sign up to see them. Poll Everywhere is the most transparent alternative: a free 40-person Intro plan, and Present at $10 a month billed annually. AhaSlides gives a free plan of 50 participants but with only 5 quiz and 3 poll questions per presentation. Mentimeter's free plan caps you at 50 participants a month, which is the sort of limit that bites a company all-hands. Kahoot is aimed at games and test sessions, not conference Q&A, and Wooclap's Starter allows only 5 questions a month. The trade-off is the Q&A and moderation features Slido is known for, which several of these either lack on free tiers or place behind paid plans. For a small team meeting, any free plan here will do. For a large event with moderation and analytics, expect to pay and compare quotes. For classrooms, Kahoot and Wooclap are better fits than Slido.

Why people look for Slido alternatives

Slido sells only annual or one-time plans; its Help Center says there is no monthly pricing. The free Basic plan allows 3 polls and 1 quiz, and each slido lasts up to 7 days. Annual plans cap participants at 200, 1,000 or 5,000 per slido, and branding, moderation and multi-poll surveys are left out of the Engage plan. Most plans include one member seat; additional seats are bought separately. A one-time plan covers a single slido for up to 7 days, and an Engage one-time slido allows up to 100 polls or surveys.

Mentimeter

Compared with Slido: Free plan allows 50 participants a month and 23 slide types. Strong on word clouds and quizzes, but the monthly participant cap is tighter than a single live session needs, and Basic is $11.99 a month per presenter billed yearly.

Price: Free (Free plan: 50 participants per month per the comparison table (the plan summary says unlimited participants once per month) and 23 slide types); paid from $11.99 per per presenter/month, billed yearly (Basic) (Mentimeter pricing, checked 2026-10-23).

Best for: Live polls and word clouds.

Kahoot!

Compared with Slido: Free tier covers test sessions only: 15-minute sessions for up to 15 participants. Game-style quizzes make it more playful than Slido, but it is a poor fit for large Q&A rooms, and Pro Start is $19 a month.
