Verdict:Pipedrive is a sales pipeline tool: deals move across stages, reminders fire, and reports show where they stall. People leave it for lower cost, self-hosting, or a CRM that bundles marketing. For a small team that wants a self-hosted pipeline, Twenty is open source with a free plan and covers contacts, companies and deals; its integration catalogue is smaller than Pipedrive's. EspoCRM is also open source and very configurable, though the interface is dated and you need admin time. SuiteCRM is a heavier, enterprise-grade open-source system for teams that want control over every module. HubSpot CRM has a free plan and adds marketing and service tools in the same account, which Pipedrive does not offer; the free tier limits automation, so the deal pipeline is the easy part. Zoho CRM has a free edition and sits in a wide Zoho suite, which helps if you already use those apps but adds complexity if you do not. The trade-off is simple: self-hosting gives ownership and extra work, while hosted suites give breadth and a learning curve. Stay with Pipedrive if the pipeline view is what your reps actually use.

Why people look for Pipedrive alternatives

Pipedrive's product pages separate the core CRM from named add-ons: LeadBooster for lead generation, Web Visitors for site tracking, Smart Docs for trackable documents and Campaigns for email marketing. They also say some features sit in higher tier plans. A team that wants outreach, documents and visitor tracking next to its deal pipeline therefore builds up cost beyond the base plan. Sign-up is offered as a free trial with full access.

Twenty

Compared with Pipedrive: Open-source CRM with a free plan and self-hosting. It covers contacts, companies and deals, so it is a real Pipedrive replacement for a small team, though its ecosystem of integrations is smaller.

EspoCRM

Compared with Pipedrive: Open-source CRM you can host yourself, with pipelines and a free core. It is more configurable than Pipedrive but has a dated interface and needs more admin time to keep tidy.

Price: Free (free self-hosted download); paid from $15 per user/month (Cloud Basic, 3-user minimum, billed per 6 months or 1 year) (EspoCRM pricing, checked 2026-10-22).

Platforms and license: Web browser, Self-hosted. AGPL-3.0 (open source).

Worth knowing: 30-day free trial for cloud.

SuiteCRM

Compared with Pipedrive: Open-source CRM with a free self-hosted edition and paid support options. It is a heavier, enterprise-style system than Pipedrive, so choose it for control rather than speed of setup.

Price: Free (free open-source download; you pay for hosting and support); paid from £50 per month (fully managed hosting, from) (SuiteCRM pricing, checked 2026-10-22).

Platforms and license: Web browser, Self-hosted. AGPL-3.0 (open source).

HubSpot CRM

Compared with Pipedrive: CRM with a free plan that includes contacts, deals and basic pipelines. It bundles marketing and service tools, which Pipedrive does not, but the free plan is limited on automation.

Price: Free (2 users, 1,000 contacts, no time limit); paid from $7 per seat/month (Starter) (HubSpot CRM pricing, checked 2026-10-22).

Platforms and license: Web browser. Proprietary SaaS.

Best for: CRM with marketing in the same account.

Zoho CRM

Compared with Pipedrive: CRM with a free edition and a wide suite of Zoho apps. It gives more features on the free tier than Pipedrive's sales-only focus, but the app family adds complexity you may not need.

Price: Free (3 users) (Zoho CRM pricing, checked 2026-10-22).

Platforms and license: Web browser. Proprietary SaaS.

Best for: Sales CRM tied to other Zoho apps.

Salesforce

Compared with Pipedrive: Starter Suite is listed at $25 per user per month, billed monthly or annually, and the plan comparison shows a Free Suite tier. The CRM most roundups name for teams that expect to outgrow a simple sales pipeline.

Price: Free (Free Suite tier listed in the plan comparison); paid from $25 per user/month (Starter Suite, billed monthly or annually) (Salesforce pricing, checked 2026-10-22).
