Verdict:Instantly suits agencies and outbound teams that send high volumes of cold email from many sending accounts. Leave it when your volume is small enough that the outreach bundles are more than you use, or when you want leads and sequences in one tool. The Outreach plans start at $47 a month billed monthly and $37.6 a month on the annual toggle, and the bundles with lead credits cost much more, so read the plan name before you sign up. Brevo is the free test bench: 300 emails a day with no time limit lets you check copy and deliverability before paying for any outreach tool. Snov.io is the pick when you need prospect data in the same place as sending, and its trial plan of 50 credits shows whether that fits. Lemlist is worth the higher price when each email needs real personal detail, not a template with a name swapped in. Saleshandy suits a solo founder who sends one mailbox's worth of outreach and wants a fixed seat price. Reply.io is for a sales team that runs calls and LinkedIn alongside email. The trade-off is simple: you give up Instantly's volume economics and gain either a lead database, a multichannel workflow, or a lower entry price. Count the sending accounts you need, then compare plans on that number, not on the headline price.

Instantly today: Paid from $37.6 per month, billed annually (Growth Outreach plan; $47 billed monthly) (Instantly pricing, checked 2026-10-23).
Instantly lists no free plan, and sending and lead data are priced as separate plans. Growth Outreach is $47 per month for 5,000 emails and 1,000 uploaded contacts, and Growth Credits is another $47 per month for roughly 1,500 credits to use its leads database. The Starter bundle combining them is $94 per month ($85 billed yearly). Moving to 125,000 emails a month means Hypergrowth at $97 monthly. The pricing page shows inconsistent figures for some tiers, so confirm the total before buying.
Compared with Instantly: Free plan sends 300 emails a day with no time limit, a free way to test sequences that Instantly does not offer. You lose Instantly's unlimited sending-account model and its lead database, so Brevo suits small campaigns better than cold outreach at scale.
Price: Free (300 emails per day, no time limit) (Brevo pricing, checked 2026-10-22).
Platforms and license: Web API. Proprietary.
Best for: Testing email sequences at no cost.
Compared with Instantly: Trial plan gives 50 credits and 100 recipients, renewing every 30 days, and paid Starter is $29.25 a month billed annually. Against Instantly it bundles lead finding with outreach, so you gain prospect data and lose its larger warm-up and sending capacity.
Price: Free (Trial plan: 50 credits and 100 recipients, renews every 30 days); paid from $29.25 per month, billed annually (Starter) (Snov.io pricing, checked 2026-10-22).
Platforms and license: Web browser. Proprietary SaaS.
Best for: Small teams that need leads and outreach together.
Compared with Instantly: The Email plan starts at $55 a month billed yearly, with personalised sequences and multichannel steps. Compared with Instantly it costs more per seat, but it gives tighter per-prospect personalisation, which suits smaller lists.
Price: Paid from $55 per month, billed yearly (Email plan; $69 billed monthly) (lemlist pricing, checked 2026-10-22).
Platforms and license: Web browser. Proprietary SaaS.
Best for: Personalised sequences on smaller lists.
Compared with Instantly: Starter is $34 a month billed annually for one seat. It covers cold email sequences and inbox rotation, so you pay less per seat than Instantly's agency tiers, but you lose the high-volume bundles that Instantly sells to outbound agencies.
Price: Paid from $34 per month, billed annually (Starter, 1 seat; $41 monthly) (Saleshandy pricing, checked 2026-10-22).
Platforms and license: Web browser. Proprietary SaaS.
Best for: Single-seat cold email on a budget.
Worth knowing: 7-day trial; Starter includes 6,000 emails per month and unlimited email accounts.
Compared with Instantly: Multichannel sales engagement that adds calls and LinkedIn steps to email. Against Instantly it is built for SDR teams working several channels, so you gain channel breadth and lose the email-only focus and simple pricing.
Price: See pricing page (Reply.io pricing, checked 2026-10-22).
Platforms and license: Web browser. Proprietary SaaS.
Best for: SDR teams running email, calls and LinkedIn.
