Verdict:Gong sells by custom quote: its pricing page shows no dollar figure, only that licenses are priced per user plus a platform fee. That makes comparison hard, and for small teams it is often the reason to look elsewhere. The honest question is which Gong features you actually use. If you mostly need recorded calls, transcripts and summaries, free tools cover that. Fathom's free plan has unlimited recordings and summaries, tl;dv and Fireflies.ai have free plans, and Otter.ai's Basic plan gives 300 minutes a month. If you also want sales coaching, Avoma is the closest in intent and publishes a price, $19 per recorder seat monthly on annual billing, with free viewer seats. What you give up is what makes Gong expensive: deal boards, forecasting built on call data, and organisation-wide analytics. Free note-takers do not connect calls to pipeline reports. A small team of fewer than ten reps running its own pipeline in a spreadsheet or CRM can likely switch and lose little. A larger team that holds weekly forecast calls from Gong dashboards should keep it, or pilot the replacement alongside Gong for a quarter. Also check consent: recording laws differ by state and country, and any tool you move to must meet them. Trial any tool before you move.

Gong today: See pricing page (Gong pricing, checked 2026-10-22).
Gong publishes no prices. Its pricing page says licenses are priced per user, with an additional platform fee that scales with the number of users you support, and the quote form is organized in team-size bands from small teams up to 10,000+ users. Without a public price list, a small team cannot compare cost before talking to sales, and the platform fee sits on top of the seat price. Minimum seats and contract terms are not listed.
Compared with Gong: Free plan with unlimited recordings and call summaries, and Team at $15 per user monthly on annual billing. It records and summarizes but lacks Gong's deal boards and forecasting, so it suits notes, not pipeline reviews.
