Verdict:Leave Vonage when the per-seat bill or the sales conversation no longer matches what the team uses. Vonage's pricing page returned an error to us and showed no number, and third-party guides disagree by a wide margin, so quoting it for a team takes a call. Dialpad lists a $15 per user per month starting price, and OpenPhone lists $15 billed annually; both are easier to budget. RingCentral is the nearest replacement if you rely on integrations and admin controls, but it also leans on quotes. Ooma Office, from $19.95 per user per month billed monthly, fits an office that wants phones that just work with a simple setup. Google Voice at $10 per user per month needs a Workspace plan and is the cheapest managed route, though it gives up call-center features. FreePBX is the only no-fee option: you run the server and supply a SIP trunk, so you trade monthly bills for responsibility for call quality and uptime. The honest trade-off is that cheaper tools drop contact-centre depth. Stay with Vonage if you use its advanced routing or its developer APIs. Leave if you only make and receive calls.
