Verdict:Strava's Individual plan is $79.99 a year, or $6.67 a month, with a 30-day trial; Family is $139.99 a year and Student $39.99. The free tier exists, but the page text did not show which features it includes. Leave Strava if you mainly want your own activity history and training numbers and not the social feed. Intervals.icu is the strongest free pick for cyclists and runners: its free tier covers fitness tracking, interval detection, a calendar and a workout builder, and it syncs with Strava and Garmin. Runalyze is also free to start and has a 60 euro a year Premium. Garmin Connect is free with a Garmin device and offers free premade workouts, with Connect+ at $6.99 a month. If you want to own the data, FitTrackee is AGPL-3.0 and self-hosted, but its maintainers describe it as under heavy development. Komoot is more about planning routes than logging activities, and its Premium price came from news reports, not the official page. The trade-off is community against control. Strava's value is who else is on it, and none of these alternatives reproduces that network. Keep Strava if your friends and clubs live there, and use these tools alongside it for training analysis.
