AdEspresso by Hootsuite alternatives: Metricool, Google Ads Editor, Meta Ads and 3 more. Prices and licenses checked October 23, 2026.

Verdict:AdEspresso was built to make Facebook and Instagram ad split testing easier, and Hootsuite bought it in 2017 and kept it as a separate product. Plans are reported from $49 up to $259 a month, so confirm the live price before judging value. The cheapest way to leave is to use the networks' own tools. Meta Ads Manager has no minimum budget on its pricing page and has no tool fee, though its experiments are slower to set up. Google Ads Editor is free for bulk work, but only for Google Ads. Metricool has a free plan and shows one account each for Facebook, Google and TikTok Ads in its table, which suits a small shop that wants reports and scheduling together. If you spend heavily and want rules that pause losing ads automatically, Birch starts at $49 a month and covers four ad networks, while Madgicx adds AI optimisation but hides its price inside the app. Hootsuite makes sense only if you also need organic social publishing. The trade-off is automation against control: the free tools leave split testing and budget decisions to you. Leave AdEspresso if you spend little and can test ads by hand; stay if guided testing saves you real hours.
